Water sports and snorkelling
If you kayak or stand-up paddleboard at the end of the day you might even be joined by some inquisitive dolphins.

The Maverick is located on a channel with reefs on both sides, with a dozen of sea life to see whilst snorkelling. We have guided snorkelling trips to many unspoilt reefs in Laamu, where you will be able to see turtles, sharks, rays and an abundance of colourful reef fish.
Night snorkelling
An adrenaline surge for the serious snorkeller, the reef is very different at night and you can see fish and bioluminescent plankton that can be seen after dark. You will be given a torch to explore the depths and see the unusual flora and fauna, and accompanied by our educated hosts.
Surfing
Surfing at the maverick is operated in cooperation with Perfect wave, one of the worlds leading surf travel operators. Their moto (which we endorse strongly!) is "Create a trip of a lifetime, every time".
The Maverick is within paddling distance of one of the Maldives top surf breaks: Sarongs. It is also within 10 minutes by boat of many other surf points - we have a speed boat and a dhoni to make sure you can get to the best swells!
The camp is one of the best places to stay for a luxury surf break.
Our surf guides know where and when to catch the best waves, and our surf breaks are never crowded.
Diving
Laamu is a diving paradise.
You are sure to see manta rays, reef sharks, turtles, reef fish, and of course beautiful and colourful corals.
As Laamu has very few hotels, the dive spots are little used and never crowded.
Private Island Wildnerness
We have three private islands!
Imagine having your own island for the day, or for the really adventurous, a night of wilderness camping.
We will provide you with everything you need for your experience and it is only 20 minutes away by speed boat.
